About the Mother in Law Lounge
Originally opened by Ernie K‑Doe in 1994, the Mother‑in‑Law Lounge has long been a beloved New Orleans landmark. Part live‑music haven, part neighborhood pub, part shrine to the soul of this beautiful city. After it sat quiet for a few years after Katrina, yours truly, Kermit Ruffins, brought it back to life in 2014 as Kermit’s Treme Mother‑in‑Law Lounge.

It's that time of the year when it gets a little slow in New Orleans. You can catch Kermit Ruffins only twice a week on Saturdays for 6PM at Kermit's Treme Mother-In-Law Lounge and Fridays for 10PM at the Blue Nile
Starting September, catch Kermit Ruffins & The BBQ Swingers on Mondays for 6PM at 208 Mayfield's on top of Felixs Restaurant - 208 Bourbon Street. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Kermit is special guest with Irvin Mayfield.
